Just a Few...

Here are just a few from when we came to move Hannah up to Provo. These are from when we went to the park while Amanda and Hannah got their hair done!
This is Kendra before we started swinging her high. We were afraid that she'd get scared so we barely pushed her.

And these are after we started pushing her high. She enjoyed it much more.

What a relief!

Today after practice while we stretched our Coaches came to talk to us. There are 31 girls on the team as of right now, and we're staying with 31. So, obviously enough, there will be no cuts at the moment.

I'm actually really glad that we aren't cutting anyone yet, but I'm a little sad that my motivation is not as great as it used to be. I've really improved the past few days, busy worrying about cuts.

This doesn't necessarily mean there won't be any cuts though. Coach Fitz told us that if he feels that girls aren't trying or something, he'll take them off the team. But I'm confident that if I keep going the way I'm going, I can improve and be a lot better than I was last year.

Cuts...

This year in Cross Country we have about 60 athletes. Twenty boys and about thirty seven girls. Our Coaches have never had a team this big. We can only fit so many people on the bus, and we can't afford two buses. So since there are so many more girls than boys, our Coaches have to cut about 17 girls. We have about 9 days of practice before they do the official cuts.

This whole situation makes me really nervous. I really do not want to get cut, and I really want to stay on the team. This sport is really crazy, and really hard, but I can speak for the whole team when I say that it's unlike any other sport. Not everyone loves it at first, but in the end everyone does. The team is like everyone's second family.

Both of my Coaches talked to me today and just let me know I need to get out of my comfort zone. I'm really kind of upset about this whole cut situation, but I'm really glad to have a new motivation. My motivation last year was to just not give up and do my best. But now that I think of it, my Coaches were right. I never really did get out of my comfort zone. This whole new situation gives me a chance to do that, and gives me a great motivation, which always helps. I'm really glad to have a new challenge ahead of me.

I don't know how this new challenge is going to go, but I'll just try my hardest and hope for the best.

Shakespearean Festival Trip 2008

This past weekend Hannah, Amanda and I went to Cedar City for our annual trip. We saw Cyrano de Bergerac, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Fiddler on the roof. Here are a few pictures from the trip!Amanda and me in the sheriff car.
Hannah's shoe fell off and flew over the fence while we were swinging!

Whaaat?!

If you just glanced at this picture, you'd only see a normal family photo. But take a closer look at this one.
If you didn't see, Amanda is holding her baby bump. Sorry Manda, you were caught in the act!

Family Cruise Pics

Here are some of the family pictures from our cruise!

Our first night at sea. Trevor and dad are already taking advantage of their soda cards.

You may think this is just a picture of Amanda, mom, and dad, but you'd be wrong. I have one expression to sum it all up: Tippy-toe!

Mom, Hannah, and Caitlin during a brief pit-stop on our golf-cart tour of Catalina.

La Buffadora. Is that how it's spelled? Too bad Andee couldn't get the terrified expression on Kendra's face.

Aaah, the beautiful Ensenada, Mexico. No place like it in the world. What did that comedian say--it makes Tijuana look like Palm Beach?
