On Saturday night the 30th, we went to the show KA as a part of a Mother's Day gift. We weren't able to go closer to the actual day, so decided that this past Saturday would be the best that we could do.
A couple of fun things in regards to the show were:
1. They do a "pre"-show as people are arriving, and during the pre-show, these strange looking characters come down from the catwalks that are used as part of the set. They are tethered together and kind of repel down. Before it started, Caitlin and Amanda went out to get popcorn and drinks, and on the way back in, one of the characters came down and landed right next to Caitlin, nearly causing her to wet herself! But the best part might have been that Amanda, in her eagerness to get back to her seat and chow down on the popcorn, didn't even notice the guy. One of the ushers (who are also dressed in character) called out to the guy, "You aren't supposed to scare the guests like that, you nearly made that one girl pee herself, but that other girl didn't even see you!!!"

2. One of the most amazing parts of the show is the stage itself. It does everything! It is hydraulic and moves up and down, back and forth, and tilts in almost every direction. (You can kind of see how they use the stage in the picture above.) The characters climb up and down the stage, and they do all sorts of amazing scenes with it throughout the production. It was awesome!
3. I personally thought that this show was one of, if not the best show on the Strip and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Mom said, "I enjoyed it very much, it was very, very cool." I guess then the whole thing turned out to be a success!
4. Finally, the last thing on the show was Caitlin's Sunday School Teacher. When she went to class, she was talking about going to the show, and her teacher told her that all the cirque du soleil shows were of the devil. She was then removed from the class. (This last part was due to the fact that they had split her class a couple of weeks ago, and she didn't want to go to the new one.) But it sounds better if she got kicked out :o)
After the show we went to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. I guess you pay for the ambiance, because we all agreed that the food was pretty mediocre. But anyway, it was still a fun night for everyone.
